Waiting on Wednesday (21)

For those of you that don't know, Waiting on Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Jill of Breaking the Spine where book bloggers devote a post to an upcoming book release they are particularly looking forward to reading.

THIS WEEK'S PICK:
CROSSED BY ALLY CONDIE
In search of a future that may not exist and faced with the decision of who to share it with, Cassia journeys to the Outer Provinces in pursuit of Ky — taken by the Society to his certain death — only to find that he has escaped, leaving a series of clues in his wake.

Cassia’s quest leads her to question much of what she holds dear, even as she finds glimmers of a different life across the border. But as Cassia nears resolve and certainty about her future with Ky, an invitation for rebellion, an unexpected betrayal, and a surprise visit from Xander — who may hold the key to the uprising and, still, to Cassia’s heart — change the game once again. Nothing is as expected on the edge of Society, where crosses and double crosses make the path more twisted than ever.

Crossed is the sequel to Matched which came out late last year. I really liked Matched when I read it and when I finished, I really wanted to know what was going to happen next. Now I'm really excited for Crossed's release, November can't come soon enough. Plus, how absolutely gorgeous is that cover? It totally represents the story.

Crossed by Ally Condie will be published November 1, 2011 by Dutton Juvenile.
