Book Expo America 2015

Unless you've been living under a rock in the book community, you probably know that BEA is happening next week in NYC. This will be my third year attending and I couldn't be more excited. If you're going to be there too, let me know because I would LOVE to meet you. It's always exciting to finally meet people I've been talking to online and it helps me put a face to the Twitter handle.

So here are a few places you might find me while at BEA:

Top 5 signing lines you are likely to see me in:

1. Firewalker by Josephine Angelini (Thursday)
2. Truly Madly Famously (Thursday)
3. Under the Lights by Dahlia Adler (Friday)
4. A Step Toward Falling (Friday)
5. Royal Wedding (Friday)

I will be going to a number of events outside of BEA-proper as well, including Teen Author Carnival on Tuesday night. Otherwise, I'll just be hanging around NYC trying to get in as much time in the city as possible before I leave to go home.

So if you see me, come say hi! I promise I'm a friendly person...I may just end up talking your ear off because I talk a lot.

NaNoWriMo 2014

If you follow me on Twitter, you may have seen me post a couple of times about word counts and writing. The reason for that is that I'm doing NaNoWriMo for the very first time. I had considered doing it in the past, but when I was still in school, November is pretty much the worst time of the year to decide to write 50,000 words just for fun. This year, though, I decided to just do it and see what happens.

If you're curious about what I'm writing, it's a contemporary YA (anyone actually surprised by this?) about two best friends and their various relationships, romantic or otherwise. If you want more details, go check out my profile on the NaNoWriMo website and add me as a writing buddy. As of right now, I'm having a lot of fun with it and I'm excited to see where my story is going to go.

Are you doing NaNoWriMo this year or have you done it in the past? What advice do you have for a newbie? Let me know in the comments!

Good luck to everyone participating!

Recap - Book Expo America 2014

So instead of writing a REALLY long post recap-ing last week's adventures at Book Expo America, I thought I would film a video. This way I can talk to you all about it and share some of the books I picked up I am most excited about reading.

This is my first time doing a video, so bear with me! Enjoy and let me know in the comments if you would be interested in seeing more videos on the blog!

BEA 2014

Unless you've been living under a rock the last couple of weeks, you probably know that next week is BEA week. I'm so excited to be going back to NYC because I love the city and to be going specifically for BEA. This will be my second year going, and I honestly can't wait. Last year was a lot of fun and I'm hoping for some more again this year.

Because I'll be away, things are probably going to be quieter on the blog and I probably won't be on Twitter as much, though I will try to keep tweeting while I'm in New York. If you are going to BEA, let me know because I would love to actually meet you in person. Or you see me, just come say hi (if you don't know what I look like, just check out my Twitter profile). I'm really friendly (and loud, you've been warned) and I just love talking to people, especially if it's about books!

I hope to see some of you there!

Emilie's Book World in 2014

This post is coming a little later than I would've hoped. The holiday period got beyond busy for me, as a result (and as some of you may have noticed), I pretty much disappeared from the Internet during that time. Now that the holiday season is over and I'm getting settled back into my regular routine, I thought I would share my "Year End/New Year" post with all of you. So here goes…

2013 as an interesting year. On some fronts, it was a great year, while on others it wasn't quite as stellar. On the more person front, 2013 was the year I finished my undergraduate degree and graduated from university. It was also the year I got my first "grown-up job" (as I like to call it), which so far has been going really great. But the busyness that came with my last semester of school, and finding my rhythm with my new job meant that the blog suffered. At times it suffered A LOT, so I apologize for that. And that's where things were a little less stellar. There were long stretches of time in 2013 where I just couldn't bring myself to blog or even read. And that SUCKED because I love doing both those things. But now 2013 is over, and it's time to move forward.

So. 2014. There's lots to be looking forward to this year. I'm looking forward to continuing on with my job and to find out what life post-university looks like for me. I'm looking forward to going to New York again to attend BEA for the second time. I'lm looking forward to spending more time with my awesome and fantastic Ottawa blogger friends. And of course, I'm looking forward to more awesome books and continued blogging.

So what can you expect from me and Emilie's Book World in 2014? That's actually a pretty good question, one I'm not entirely sure how to answer, but I'll give it my best shot. One thing's for sure: I want to still be reading, and writing reviews, and blogging in general. I'm hoping to be able to post reviews regularly, either two or three times a week depending on how busy things get. I'm also hoping to start posting some new discussion posts more frequently (if you have any suggestions, leave them in the comments!). Reading-wise, I would like to start reading a little more outside of YA this year. Before I started blogging, my reading tastes were much more varied, and I'm hoping to get some of that back this year. And that's pretty much all I've got so far.

Who really knows what 2014 is going to bring? I'm just going to be hoping for the best, whether that's in my personal life or my blogging/reading life, and I'm wishing the same to all of you.

Stacking the Shelves (30) - BEA Edition!

Stacking the Shelves is a weekly meme hosted by Tynga of Tynga's Reviews. It's a weekly post where book bloggers showcase the book they received throughout the week.

So I've kind of been a bad blogger the past couple of weeks...but I have an excuse! You see, I was in NYC for Book Expo America and that pretty much had all my attention. And then I got back this week and had to go back to work and recover so the blog was a little neglected. But on the plus side, I now have A LOT of reading material. Because not only did I come back from BEA with a lot more books than I thought I would, but there were also some waiting for me at home when I got back. Be warned, there are A LOT of books in this post.

Non-BEA books:

- Creeps by Darren Hynes
- Not Your Ordinary Wolf Girl by Emily Pohl-Weary
- Confederates Don't Wear Couture by Stephanie Kate Strohm
- The Testing by Joelle Charbonneau
- To Be Perfectly Honest by Sonya Sones
- When You Were Here by Daisy Whitney
- In Too Deep by Coert Vorhees
- Rules of Summer by Joanna Philbin

Thank you to Penguin Canada, Thomas Allen & Sons, and HBG Canada for sending me these books for review.

BEA Books

I'm not going to list all the books in this picture because that might be a little more than I can handle right now. But here are a few that I'm particularly excited about:

- How To Love by Katie Cotugno (I've read this one already and it was absolutely amazing. EVERYONE needs to read this book.)
- Wild Cards by Simone Elkeles (I've also already read this one and loved it. It was as awesome as I thought it would be.)
- The Dream Thieves by Maggie Stiefvater
- Fire with Fire by Jenny Han & Siobhan Vivian
- This Song Will Save Your Life by Leila Sales
- All the Truth That's In Me by Julie Berry

...And basically every other book in this picture. But seriously, BEA was an amazing experience beyond all the exciting books. If you ever get a chance to go, you should seriously take it.

So that's all for me this week. Hopefully I should be back to posting regularly this week, but I don't promise anything since this week is also my university graduation so it's sure to be busy. If you entered any of my Starcrossed Week giveaways, keep an eye on your e-mail in the coming days as I will be contacting the winners.

Other than that, enjoy your week & happy reading!

Stacking the Shelves (26)

Stacking the Shelves is a weekly meme hosted by Tynga of Tynga's Reviews. It's a weekly post where book bloggers showcase the book they received throughout the week.

A few new and exciting books this week. Lately I've slowly been playing catch-up with my TBR pile since my last semester of school has been quite busy. But in just over a week I will officially be done with school so I'll have more time to read. But until then, here's what I got this week.

Review:

- The Sea of Tranquility by Katja Millay - I've heard some amazing things about The Sea of Tranquility so I was happy to accept when I got offered a copy for review. Since it's coming out in early June, I should be reading it quite soon and seeing for myself what all the fuss is about.

- I'm With Stupid by Geoff Herbach - If you haven't already checked out the Felton Reinstein books by Geoff Herbach you are seriously missing out. These are some of the best and funniest contemps I've read in the last year so I can't wait to see how it all comes together in this las one.

- The Savage Blue by Zoraida Cordova - I'm a sucker for mermaid stories and I really enjoyed The Vicious Deep last year. When I read it, it felt like the action was just starting when the book ended so I'm really looking forward to reading The Savage Blue to find out what happens next.

- Of Triton by Anna Banks - Again, mermaid books have a tendency to just drag me in. I absolutely loved Of Poseidon when I read it last year and it ended on somewhat of a cliffhanger so I can't wait to see where Anna Banks takes the story next in Of Triton.

So that's it for me this week. I have just one busy school week ahead of me and then lots of reading time. As usual, leave me a comment letting me know what you got and I'll come check it out!

Stacking the Shelves (24)

Stacking the Shelves is a weekly meme hosted by Tynga of Tynga's Reviews. It's a weekly post where book bloggers showcase the book they received throughout the week.

Things are quite busy for me at the moment, but I'm still finding the time to read. And to make things better, I have lots of new exciting books to read that showed up in the last couple of weeks. Some are books I've been anticipating for a long time, others were pleasant surprises. So without further ado, here's what I got in the last couple of weeks!

Review:

- The Moon and More by Sarah Dessen - Sarah Dessen is easily one of my all time favorite authors and I've loved everything of her's I've read. So you can imagine that I am beyond thrilled to have gotten an early copy of her newest book. Be sure to come back in late May/early June for my review!

- Earthbound by Aprilynne Pike - While I've never read anything by Aprilynne Pike, right when I first heard about Earthbound I knew it was something I was interested in reading. I can't wait until it gets closer to the release date so I can read this one. And be sure to come back in late July for my review!

- The Runaway King by Jennifer A. Nielsen - This book was a pleasant surprise. I remembered hearing a lot of good things about the first book in this series but never really picked it up. I have been getting more into fantasy lately so I will be reading this one for sure in the near future.

Thank you to Penguin Canada and Scholastic Canada for sending me these books for review.

Won:

- Starcrossed & Dreamless by Josephine Angelini - If you've been following my blog and my Twitter, it should come as no surprise that I absolutely love these books and any copies of them I get I am quite happy about. And of course if you haven't read this series yet, you should most definitely check it out.

Thank you to Epic Reads for these!

Bought:

- The False Prince by Jennifer A. Nielsen - Since I received the sequel for review, I figured it would probably be a good idea to get myself a copy of the first book.

- Every Never After by Lesley Livingston - I absolutely loved Once Every Never when I read it a couple years ago and I was thrilled when Lesley announced it would be made into a series. I seriously can't wait to dive into this one!

That's it for me this week. Things are quite busy for me at the moment between work and the last month of my undergrad. I am still trying to post as regularly as possible but if a few days go by with nothing happening on the blog, don't be alarmed I'm probably just somewhere getting a handle on all my school work. And as usual, let me know what you got and I'll come check it out!

Stacking the Shelves (23)

Stacking the Shelves is a weekly meme hosted by Tynga of Tynga's Reviews. It's a weekly post where book bloggers showcase the book they received throughout the week.

These Stacking the Shelves post have become somewhat less frequent for me. I've been really good lately about not going crazy buying books so the only books I've been getting are ones for review. But this might be changing quite soon because there are so many awesome books coming out in the next few weeks that I am just dying to get my hands on. For this week though, I got some very exciting books so keep reading to find out what came for me this week.

Review:

- Goddess by Josephine Angelini - AAAAHHHH!!! There was major squealing and dancing around when I received Goddess this week. This is probably one of my most anticipated books this year and I will be reading it very soon. Major thanks to the lovely Shannon for going above and beyond for getting me this book in preparation for an event I will be running on the blog in May.

- Nantucket Blue by Leila Howland - As you may all know, I love contemporary and Nantucket Blue is one of those contemporary books that caught my eye right away. To top that off I've been hearing nothing but rave reviews of this book so you can bet I am excited to have a copy and to read it soon.

- This Is What Happy Looks Like by Jennifer E. Smith - Another fantastic-sounding contemporary read (I swear the contemps are making a comeback this year) that I am super excited about. I absolutely loved Jennifer E. Smith's The Statistical Probability of Love at First Sight last year so I can't wait to dive in to this one.

Big thanks to HarperCollins Canada (and Shannon!) and HBG Canada for sending me these books for review.

Borrowed:

- The Moon and More by Sarah Dessen - Do I even need to explain why I am beyond excited about this book? It's Sarah Dessen, that's the only explanation that is needed. Sarah Dessen is one of my all time favorite authors so I can't wait to read it. And thank you to the lovely Kathy from A Glass of Wine for lending this to me.

Purchased:

- The Madman's Daughter by Megan Shepherd - I have heard great things about this one and have been meaning to read it. What finally pushed me to get my own copy is that I'm joining a book club and this will be our first read. (Side note: if you're in Ottawa and want to join a YA book club, be sure to check out Lost at Midnight's post all about it!)

So that's it for me this week. Though it wasn't a super busy week, there are some books in there I am absolutely dying to get into...if only I didn't have school and the last month of my undergrad to get through...But as usual leave me a comment letting me know what you got and I'll be sure to check it out!

Stacking the Shelves (22)

Stacking the Shelves is a weekly meme hosted by Tynga of Tynga's Reviews. It's a weekly post where book bloggers showcase the book they received throughout the week.

Lots of new books this week. Last Sunday, a bunch of us Ottawa bloggers got together for a meet up and the ever wonderful Kathy from A Glass of Wine had arranged for all of us to get goodie bags with fun books from publishers. It was all very exciting. And of course there were some books I just had to buy and others showed up on my doorstep unexpected.

Review:

- True by Hilary Duff - The first two books in this series were surprisingly good so I'm looking forward to see how it all ends.

- Dr. Frankenstein's Daughters by Suzanne Weyn - I honestly hadn't heard until this one until it showed up on my doorstep but it sounds interesting enough.

- The Dead and Buried by Kim Harrington - From what I've heard, this book is really good and I'm looking forward to finally reading something by Kim Harrington.

- The Wrap-Up List by Steven Arntson - Again, never heard of this book, but it sounds really interesting from what I can tell from the summary.

- Delusion by Laura L. Sullivan - I'm going to sound like a broken record but I hadn't heard of this book before either but it kind of intrigues me.

Thank you to Simon & Schuster Canada, Scholastic Canada and Thomas Allen & Sons for sending me these books for review!

Purchased:

- The Indigo Spell by Richelle Mead - AAAAAHH! So excited for this one about this one and I'm reading it right now and it's just so good.

- Perfect Scoundrels by Ally Carter - I have loved the first two books in this series, and let's be honest, I'm just looking forward to reading more about Hale.

- Spell Bound by Rachel Hawkins - I've already read this one but now that it's out in paperback I needed a copy to match my copies of Hex Hall  and Demonglass.

From Ottawa Blogger Meet Up:

- Poison by Bridget Zinn - For a long time I wasn't a big fantasy reader, but I've been really getting into the genre lately so I'm excited at the prospect of reading this one.

- Takedown by Allison van Diepen - I haven't read anything yet by Allison van Diepen but this book sounds really interesting. Plus Allison was super nice and joined us for lunch at the meet up.

- Impostor by Susanne Winnacker - I'm a sucker for a story that involves a murder mystery so I'm really excited to read this one. Plus it sounds really different.

- The Enchanted Life of Adam Hope by Rhonda Riley - Not something I would normally pick up, but the description made it sound really interesting, as did Shannon's (from HarperCollins Canada) note inside the book.

- Pretty Girl-13 by Liz Coley - Ever since I first heard about this one I've been wanting to read it so I'm really excited to now have a copy for myself.

- The Loop by Shandy Lawson - A more or less doomed from the start love story? I am there. This book sounds really complex but also like it will just break my heart. I can't wait to read it.

So that's it for me this week. As you are reading this I am on my way to Toronto for the Faze/Breathless Reads Event taking place there on Sunday which should be really exciting. And it's a good thing it's reading week this week, because if you couldn't tell, I have lots of new books to read on my hands.

Stacking the Shelves (21)

Stacking the Shelves is a weekly meme hosted by Tynga of Tynga's Reviews. It's a weekly post where book bloggers showcase the book they received throughout the week.

After having gotten no new books last week, I'm back this week with just 2 new books. I'm liking this slower pace because it means I actually have time to get through the books I've been buying and receiving. So here's what I got!

Review:
- Notes from Ghost Town by Kate Ellison - This book sounds so intriguing. It's a murder mystery wrapped up in a ghost story and that just makes me so excited at the prospect of reading this book. Since it comes out later this month, I should get to read it quite soon!

Bought:
- Boundless by Cynthia Hand - While I still have to read Hallowed, I couldn't resist picking up a shiny pink copy of Boundless. I loved Unearthly when I read it two years ago and now that I have the last book, I can read the remaining two books in the series back to back...when I have time...which hopefully is soon.

That's it for me this week. Though I didn't get very many books I did find out about having gotten in to my top 2 choices for post-grad programs so I'm really excited about that too. And as usual, leave me a comment letting me know what you got and I'll come check it out!

Stacking the Shelves (19)

Stacking the Shelves is a weekly meme hosted by Tynga of Tynga's Reviews. It's a weekly post where book bloggers showcase the book they received throughout the week.

So I haven't done a Stacking the Shelves post since some time in October. I obviously can't remember all the books I've gotten since then so this week's post is going to include what was waiting for me when I came home following the holidays. I'll be honest and say it kinda felt like Christmas all over again. There were all these packages of awesome waiting for me, and here is what they contained.

(Since there are a fair amount of books, I won't be talking about each like I normally do)

For Review:
- Out of the Easy by Ruta Sepetys - I'm part of a blog tour for this one so check back on February 20.
- The Ruining by Anna Collomore - Another blog tour--check out my review on February 13
- Furious by Jill Wolfson
- Midwinter Blood by Marcus Sedwick
- One + One = Blue by MJ Auch
- When We Wuz Famous by Greg Takoudes
- Unremembered by Jessica Brody (x2 - a good home has already been found of the extra copy)
- Things I Can't Forget by Miranda Kenneally
- Emblaze by Jessica Shirvington
- Nobody by Jennifer Lynn Barnes
- The Gypsy Kind by Maureen Fergus (E-galley - Not Pictured)
- Every Never After by Lesley Livingston (E-galley - Not Pictured)

Big thanks to Penguin Canada, Macmillan, Raincoast Books and Media Masters Publicity for sending me these books to review.

Bookish Things:

-Carrier of the Mark/Shadow of the Mark swag from author Leigh Fallon

- Starcrossed by Josephine Angelini-themed jersey (bought from Rad Graphic).

So that's all for me this week. As you can tell, my mailbox was quite busy while I was away. I also have two giveaways going on at the moment so be sure to check those out (Just One Day & Decked With Holly). As usual, leave me a comment letting me know what you got!

13 Most Anticipated of 2013

After having discussed some of my favorite books of 2012 yesterday I am taking advantage of the fact that today is the first day of the new year to discuss which 2013 books I am most looking forward to reading. So without further ado, and in no particular order, here are the top 13 books of 2013 I am the most excited about.

Goddess by Josephine Angelini
Considering Dreamless was one of my favorites of 2012, it shouldn't come as a surprise that I am past the point of eagerly awaiting when it comes to Goddess. I just can't wait to see how everything will work out for everyone.

Clockwork Princess by Cassandra Clare
In case it wasn't obvious already, I'm a big fan of Cassandra Clare. And The Infernal Devices is an amazing series and after all the events of Clockwork Prince, I can't wait to see how it will all come together in Clockwork Princess.

Apollyon by Jennifer L. Armentrout
After everything that happened in Deity, I am just dying to read Apollyon to find out what happens next and how everything will work out for certain characters. And I can already tell that it will be majorly intense. And it will probably break my hear a couple times.

Isla and the Happily Ever After by Stephanie Perkins
How could I not be anticipating this one. I have loved both of Stephanie Perkins' previous books so I can't wait to be taken back to Paris in another one of her stories.

The Moon and More by Sarah Dessen
Sarah Dessen is one of the YA authors I have been reading for the longest and so far, none of her books have managed to disappoint me. So as you can guess, I am incredibly excited at the prospect of reading her next book come the spring.

The Retribution of Mara Dyer by Michelle Hodkin
With everything that happened in The Evolution of Mara Dyer how can I not be excited and eagerly awaiting the next and final book in this series. This story messes with my mind so much but I just can't help but love it. Even if it will slowly drive me insane.

Just One Year by Gayle Forman
Because I've been lucky enough to already have read Just One Day, I am dying to be able to read Just One Year. After reading Allyson's story, I can't wait to experience it all from Willem's perspective. Be on the lookout for my full thoughts on Just One Day very soon.

Things I Can't Forget by Miranda Kenneally
Miranda Kenneally has quickly become one of those authors whose books are "must reads". And I can't wait to read the next one because her stories just end up finding a way to break my heart and then proceed to help me put it back together.

The Indigo Spell by Richelle Mead
You can bet I will be at my bookstore first thing in the morning on the day The Indigo Spell releases. And while I'm beyond excited about this book, I'm also a little scared because Richelle Mead is known for just breaking your hear in the third book of her series.

Midnight Frost by Jennifer Estep
In the past year I have come to love Jennifer Estep's Mythos Academy series. And with every installment things just always seem to get better so I can't wait to see what happens next in Midnight Frost.

Every Never After by Lesley Livingston
I absolutely loved Once Every Never when I first read it so I was excited when it was announced it would go from being a standalone to being part of a series. And now I can't wait to go back into that world with Every Never After when it comes out.

Requiem by Lauren Oliver
Though a year later I still haven't really made up my mind about Pandemonium, that doesn't stop me from being excited about Requiem. Despite everything, I have come to love this story and this world so I can't wait to see how it will all come together.

This is What Happy Looks Like by Jennifer E. Smith
I loved reading The Statistical Probability of Love at First Sight last year so I can't wait to read more Jennifer E. Smith. I'm hoping for the same kind of romance I got in her other book, but either way I don't think it will be possible for this book to disappoint me.

So these are the 13 books I am most looking forward to reading in 2013. And there are plenty more that I just want to get my hands on. By the looks of it, 2013 will be a fantastic year for books.

I'm Back!

So a few weeks ago I posted about how things have been going crazy with school and work. But as of 2:30 PM today I am done with my second to last semester of university. What this means for you is that I will be back to posting regularly. I have been reading so I have some reviews to post, I will also be part of the blog tours for Falling Kingdoms and The Friday Society, so be sure to keep an eye out for that. On Thursday I will also have a big announcement about something that will be happening on the blog over the course of the next year so be sure to come back and check it out. And of course since it's the end of the year I will be doing all those end of the year/beginning of a new year posts.

So all that to say that the blog will definitely be busy this month. And I just wanted to thank everyone for sticking with me while I got through all the essays.

Update - Where I've Been

Hi Everyone!

You may have noticed that these past few months, in particular the last couple of weeks, I've been kind of neglecting the blog and I haven't really been on Twitter as much. I am here to tell you that I have not completely disappeared off the face of the planet, but I have been incredibly busy. I'm currently in my last year of university and I work on top of that so those things are kind of, unfortunately, taking priority over blogging and reading right now. I've gotten to the point that any time I have a few minutes of free time I can't even bring myself to read since I've gotten so tired of doing readings for school.

But never fear, I will be back with a bang in December once all my assignments are handed in and my jobs stop for the exam period/holiday break. I have some exciting things planned for December including two really awesome blog tours and information about something that will be happening on the blog over the course of the next year. Exciting stuff, right?

In the mean time, please bear with me as I get through the next hellish couple of weeks and disappear into my essay writing cave. If you need to get in touch with me your best bet is through e-mail and I will do my best to respond. There may still be some posts going up on the blog, but for the most part it will be sporadic and something I can put together when I have a few minutes to myself.

If all goes well, I'll be back in no time!

Stacking the Shelves (18)

Stacking the Shelves is a weekly meme hosted by Tynga of Tynga's Reviews. It's a weekly post where book bloggers showcase the book they received throughout the week.

So far I am kind of failing at only buying the books on the list I made, though I am still not buying too many so I guess things could be worse. This week I got some books for review, borrowed some from fellow bloggers and bought some at a signing I went to. So without further ado, here's what I got this week.

Review:

- The Lies that Bind by Lisa & Laura Roecker - I really loved The Liar Society when I read it last year so I am looking forward to being able to read the second one. If I'm not mistaken, I will also be a part of the blog tour for this one next month, so be on the lookout for that!

- (You) Set Me On Fire by Mariko Tamaki - I had received an ARC of this book over the summer and have reviewed it already, but at any rate I am happy to have a finished copy to add to my shelves.

- Beautiful Redemption by Kami Garcia & Margaret Stohl - I still have to read Beautiful Chaos but I am still very excited to now have a gorgeous finished copy of Beautiful Redemption. You can bet that as soon as a I have enough time on my hands, I will be reading this one.

Thank you to Sourcebooks Fire, Penguin Canada & HBG Canada for sending me these books for review.

Borrowed:

- Crewel by Gennifer Albin - This book has been on my radar for quite some time so I was happy when the wonderful Kathy from A Glass of Wine offered to lend me her copy of the book.

Won (at signing):

- All Good Children by Catherine Austen - I'll be honest and say I hadn't heard of this book or of Catherine Austen until the signing I went to this week. But I won a copy of the book and I have to say that the summary has be intrigued.

Purchased:

- Night Runner & End of Days by Max Turner - Again, I hadn't really heard about these books or Max Turner until I went to the signing, but the books sound interesting and it was really great hearing him talk about his books and his writing process.

- Dreamless by Josephine Angelini - I received an ARC of this book earlier this year which I read, reviewed and loved. But I didn't have a gorgeous finished copy to put on my shelf next to Starcrossed, so I couldn't resist picking it up at the bookstore.

That's it for me this week! There won't be a Stacking the Shelves post next week as I will be in Toronto for the Second Annual Ontario Blog Squad Blogger Meet Up. I'm really excited to meet all the bloggers I've only talked to online and of course to the roadtrip with the other Ottawa bloggers.
