It's Friday so it means it's time for the Book Blogger Hop and Follow Friday!
First off, the Book Blogger Hop is a weekly meme hosted by Jennifer of Crazy-for-Books. It is a way for all the book bloggers out there to get together and find out about each other's blogs. I've found a lot of great blogs and bloggers through this hop and it's always fun to take part in each week.
THIS WEEK'S QUESTION:
"If I gave you £50 (or $80) and sent you into a bookshop right now, what would be in your basket when you finally staggered to the till?"
I honestly don't know. I would probably go into the bookstore with the intentions of buying specific books but then I would end up with a completely different load when I come out. I can say though, that many of the books would be books in series that I haven't bough yet for series I want the complete set. And the rest would be recent releases that I just haven't gotten around to buying. Just go look at my Goodreads "wish list" bookshelf and you'll have a pretty good idea of what I would come out with.
The Follow Friday is hosted by Parajunkee's View each week. It works a lot like the Book Blogger Hop except that it's only on Fridays. I haven't been taking part in this hop as long but I've found a lot of great new blogs through this one too.
THIS WEEK'S QUESTION:
Just like Ashley said (love it) "Ashley the girl..." who are You the Boy/Girl, instead of You the Blogger?
Other than a crazy book reader and blogger, I am a 20 year old university student. I am halfway through my degree and I am still deciding what I want to do once I graduate and I have my degree. Lucky for me, I still have two years to figure it out. Outside of books, I love pretty much any kind of music and have an interest in sports, having been a competitive athlete in high school. So if I'm not reading or blogging, you'll find me either listening to music, watching TV or doing homework...or any combination of those, I tend to multi-task a lot.
That's it for this week!
Your bookstore answer sounds a lot like mine. I go in with certain intentions and then that all goes out the window when I walk in. Like a kid in a candy shop, I want it all.

I'm already a follower and I had a similar answer to Ellie's question. I just gave general genres. I love to wander around bookstores looking at all the different covers.

Have a great weekend!
I think my bookstore answer would have been more honest if it had been like yours, I'd be bound to go off on a tangent and forget what I went in looking for. It happens every time I go to the library. New follower, have a great weekend.
ReplyDeleteNew follower - I grabbed your badge and added you to my blog roll - I'm intrigued by your blog and am going to keep an eye on it for a couple of weeks... come by and check me out if you want.

Hi! New Follower. I usually end of doing thing as you, going in with certain books in mind and then get completely distracted and buy more and completely different books.

Have a great weekend :)
Hi, just hopping on by! I know exactly what you mean about coming in with certain intentions and leaving with something totally different. Every time I walk in, I can't help but grab all the books that have made it onto my to-read list (which is 450 books long or something crazy like that). Oh, also, I'm your 400th follower! Congratulations :)
