Most Anticipated of 2016

A few days ago, I posted about my 20 (well, 23, technically) favourite books of 2015. And it was hard limiting that list to just that number. Even harder was choosing just 15 books from 2016 that I'm excited about. If I could, I would just list ALL THE BOOKS. And then there are ones that I know authors are planning but haven't been announced and therefore can't really talk about. But despite all that (and despite wanting to bang my head against the wall in frustration a couple times), I was able to narrow down this list to just 15 books (not really, because, again, I cheated because this is my list and I can do whatever I want with it). Unsurprisingly, there are only two books on this list that aren't contemporary because that's who I've become in the last couple years. But that's besides the point. So in no particular order, here are the 15 books I'm the most excited to read in 2015.

Game On by Michelle Smith - Since Play On was on my best of 2015 list, it shouldn't really be a surprise that I really (REALLY, REALLY) want and am looking forward to Game On. I need to read Eric's story. I wanted to read Eric's story while I was reading Play On (even though I loved Austin and Marisa's story). So yeah, I need Game On.

P.S. I Like You by Kasie West - Kasie West writes some of my favourite lighthearted contemporary stories. Though I still have to read the one that was published this year (I know, I know), I still can't wait for this next one. I just know reading it is going to put a smile on my face.

Traitor's Pyre by Josephine Angelini - I DESPERATELY NEED THIS BOOK. The ending of Firewalker left me begging for Traitor's Pyre. Even if I'm afraid of what Josephine Angelini will do to my heart with this book, I still can't wait to read it.

When We Collided by Emery Lord - I've actually had a a copy of When We Collided for a few months now and why I still haven't read it, I don't know. But it's an Emery Lord book and I know I'm pretty much guaranteed to love it.

Out of Frame by Megan Erickson - I absolutely LOVE Megan Erickson's In Focus series. The two books that are already out were some of my favourite books of 2015 and I can't wait to read more in Out of Frame. Though I am a little worried about the emotional rollercoaster these books tend to be.

The Unexpected Everything by Morgan Matson - You can't really go wrong with a Morgan Matson book. I've pretty much been waiting for a new one since finishing Since You've Been Gone. So The Unexpected Everything can't come soon enough.

All Closed Off by Cora Carmack - IT'S STELLA AND RYAN'S BOOK. Do I really need to add more? If you've read the Rusk University books, you totally know what I'm talking about.

Defending Taylor by Miranda Kenneally - I've yet to be disappointed by a book Miranda Kenneally has written. So Defending Taylor is pretty close to teh top of the list of books I absolutely need in 2016.

It Ends With Us by Colleen Hoover - I know literally nothing about this book. Only that Colleen Hoover is writing it. And that's pretty much all I need to know where this book is concerned.

Walk the Edge by Katie McGarry - I've been thinking about Walk the Edge since finishing Nowhere But Here. And it feels like I've been waiting so much longer than I actually have been waiting. Basically, I need Walk the Edge in my life.

Wicked Sexy Liar by Christina Lauren - In the past year I have become a major Christina Lauren fangirl. And I can't even begin to explain how much I need Wicked Sexy Liar. I need Luke and London's story like you wouldn't believe. I just need this book.

Girl Against the Universe by Paula Stokes - I loved Paula Stokes's The Art of Lainey and reading the description for Girl Against the Universe I just know that it's totally going to be my kind of book, there's no doubt in my mind about it.

Right of First Refusal/Out On Good Behavior by Dahlia Adler - I loved Dahlia Adler's first NA book and I can't wait for the two sequels. I've read an excerpt of Right of First Refusal and it only made me want the book that much more. And I can't wait to read another f/f romance by Dahlia with Out On Good Behavior.

The Inside of Out by Jenn Marie Thorne - The Inside of Out was said to be Meg Cabot meets Glee and that's pretty much all I need to know. A combination of my favourite author and one of my favourite TV shows, this pretty much has my name written all over it.

Inflict by Cora Carmack - This is the second Cora Carmack book on this list and for good reason. I've been DYING to read Inflict from the moment I finished reading Inspire. And now I'm finally close to being able to read it and I can't wait.

Have you heard of any of the books on this list? Are any of them books you're excited about?

Most Anticipated of 2015

Last week I talked about my favourite reads from 2014. It was hard to just pick 15 books to feature for that list. Now I've been looking at all the books that are coming out in 2015, and it's just as hard to decide which books are the ones I'm the most excited about. But after banging my head against the wall in frustration a couple times, I've managed to narrow it down to 15 books once again. And it should come as no surprise whatsoever that pretty much all the books on this list are contemporary. But that's besides the point. So without further ado, and in no particular order, here are the 15 books I'm the most excited about to read in 2015.

Emilie's Most Anticipated Books of 2015

Saint Anything by Sarah Dessen - This is a new Sarah Dessen book, does it really need any explaining? Sarah Dessen is one of my all-time favourite authors and I will read anything she writes. And I mean literally anything. This one is supposed to be darker than her other books so I'm definitely looking forward to reading it.

All Played Out by Cora Carmack - This year I have come to love Cora Carmack's Rusk University books and I can't wait to read this one. I'm so excited to read Torres and Nell's story. But at the same time, I'm kind of sad that this will be the last book in this series (or at least it will be as far as I know).

I Was Here by Gayle Forman - This is Gayle Forman. Need I say more? But for real, Gayle Forman is one of those authors whose books I will read no matter what they are about. I haven't been disappointed so far. One thing's for sure though, I will be keeping a box of tissues handy because I just know this will be an emotional read.

The Ruby Circle by Richelle Mead - I'm torn about this book. On the one hand, I can't wait to have it in my hands and be able to read it. But I also never want Sydney and Adrian's story to end. I want to keep reading books about them forever. But I want The Ruby Circle SO BAD.

Jesse's Girl by Miranda Kenneally - Not only does this book share a title with an 80's song, but it was written by Miranda Kenneally. I absolutely cannot wait for this book. I've already read the two excerpts that have been posted online and they've only left me dying for more.

Confess by Colleen Hoover - This year was the year that I discovered Colleen Hoover and I can't wait to read more from her. Honestly, I'm not entirely sure what Confess is about (I read the description at some point but cannot for the life of my remember what it said). But that doesn't even matter because I just want more Colleen Hoover romance in my life.

P.S. I Still Love You by Jenny Han - How could To All the Boys I've Loved Before just ended like that? I have been dying for this book ever since I read the last page of the previous one. I just want this story so much. I have to know who Lara Jean chooses (and it better be Peter).

The Princess Diaries: Royal Wedding by Meg Cabot - Meg Cabot is one of the reasons I read so much YA. In middle and high school I read every single one of her books and the Princess Diaries series is still among my favourites. Needless to say that I can't wait to dive back in to that world, if only for the span of one book.

The Fill-In Boyfriend by Kasie West - Kasie West's contemporary romances are just so freaking adorable and I love them. This one sounds like it will be just as adorable as the other ones and I honestly can't wait to read it. Plus, isn't that cover just adorable?

My Heart and Other Black Holes by Jasmine Warga - This book involves a suicide pact. And that's all I really needed to know about this book to know I wanted to read it. Though I don't know what that says about me. Anyways, I've been told this book will put me through the emotional wringer and I can't wait to read it.

The Devil You Know by Trish Doller - I've only read one of Trish Doller's other books but I absolutely loved it and it stayed with me for a long time after I finished reading it. This one sounds like it will be right up my alley and I can't wait to read it.

Nowhere But Here by Katie McGarry - So Katie McGarry has a new series coming out and I want it. Badly. Now. Though I'm a little sad it won't be tied to her other books since I LOVE those, I'm excited to read stories in this new world.

Things We Know by Heart by Jessi Kirby - I've loved all the books I've read by Jessi Kirby and I can't wait to read this one. The premise sounds really interesting, and from experience with her other books, I know this will be an emotional book. Tissues will be on hand for sure.

The Boy Most Likely To by Huntley Fitzpatrick - More Garretts! And Tim! Honestly, this is one of the books I'm most looking forward to reading next year. If it's anything like My Life Next Door, I just know I will adore The Boy Most Likely To.

99 Days by Katie Cotugno - Katie Cotugno's How to Love was one of my favourite reads in 2012 and I can't wait for more from her. I've been pining for this book for so long and I'm so excited to finally being close to reading it.

13 Most Anticipated of 2013

After having discussed some of my favorite books of 2012 yesterday I am taking advantage of the fact that today is the first day of the new year to discuss which 2013 books I am most looking forward to reading. So without further ado, and in no particular order, here are the top 13 books of 2013 I am the most excited about.

Goddess by Josephine Angelini
Considering Dreamless was one of my favorites of 2012, it shouldn't come as a surprise that I am past the point of eagerly awaiting when it comes to Goddess. I just can't wait to see how everything will work out for everyone.

Clockwork Princess by Cassandra Clare
In case it wasn't obvious already, I'm a big fan of Cassandra Clare. And The Infernal Devices is an amazing series and after all the events of Clockwork Prince, I can't wait to see how it will all come together in Clockwork Princess.

Apollyon by Jennifer L. Armentrout
After everything that happened in Deity, I am just dying to read Apollyon to find out what happens next and how everything will work out for certain characters. And I can already tell that it will be majorly intense. And it will probably break my hear a couple times.

Isla and the Happily Ever After by Stephanie Perkins
How could I not be anticipating this one. I have loved both of Stephanie Perkins' previous books so I can't wait to be taken back to Paris in another one of her stories.

The Moon and More by Sarah Dessen
Sarah Dessen is one of the YA authors I have been reading for the longest and so far, none of her books have managed to disappoint me. So as you can guess, I am incredibly excited at the prospect of reading her next book come the spring.

The Retribution of Mara Dyer by Michelle Hodkin
With everything that happened in The Evolution of Mara Dyer how can I not be excited and eagerly awaiting the next and final book in this series. This story messes with my mind so much but I just can't help but love it. Even if it will slowly drive me insane.

Just One Year by Gayle Forman
Because I've been lucky enough to already have read Just One Day, I am dying to be able to read Just One Year. After reading Allyson's story, I can't wait to experience it all from Willem's perspective. Be on the lookout for my full thoughts on Just One Day very soon.

Things I Can't Forget by Miranda Kenneally
Miranda Kenneally has quickly become one of those authors whose books are "must reads". And I can't wait to read the next one because her stories just end up finding a way to break my heart and then proceed to help me put it back together.

The Indigo Spell by Richelle Mead
You can bet I will be at my bookstore first thing in the morning on the day The Indigo Spell releases. And while I'm beyond excited about this book, I'm also a little scared because Richelle Mead is known for just breaking your hear in the third book of her series.

Midnight Frost by Jennifer Estep
In the past year I have come to love Jennifer Estep's Mythos Academy series. And with every installment things just always seem to get better so I can't wait to see what happens next in Midnight Frost.

Every Never After by Lesley Livingston
I absolutely loved Once Every Never when I first read it so I was excited when it was announced it would go from being a standalone to being part of a series. And now I can't wait to go back into that world with Every Never After when it comes out.

Requiem by Lauren Oliver
Though a year later I still haven't really made up my mind about Pandemonium, that doesn't stop me from being excited about Requiem. Despite everything, I have come to love this story and this world so I can't wait to see how it will all come together.

This is What Happy Looks Like by Jennifer E. Smith
I loved reading The Statistical Probability of Love at First Sight last year so I can't wait to read more Jennifer E. Smith. I'm hoping for the same kind of romance I got in her other book, but either way I don't think it will be possible for this book to disappoint me.

So these are the 13 books I am most looking forward to reading in 2013. And there are plenty more that I just want to get my hands on. By the looks of it, 2013 will be a fantastic year for books.
